We discovered that what families crave most is peace of mind: knowing their loved one is safe, comfortable, and never alone.
Those experiences shaped the values that guide us today. We believe care should empower rather than take away choice, bring comfort while preserving independence, and offer companionship that eases loneliness. Families deserve to feel supported, and seniors deserve to feel seen and valued. Ruth Marcan
Hi, I’m Ruth. For as long as I can remember, caring for others has been part of who I am. My interest in senior care began while I was studying at Marymount University, and it’s been woven through every season of my life. Before stepping into entrepreneurship, I worked in customer service at United and Marriott, where I learned something that has shaped me ever since: people don’t just need solutions—they need to feel heard, respected, and cared for.
One evening, I found my elderly neighbor trying to climb into bed with a step ladder. She was fiercely independent and didn’t want to admit she needed help. What started with helping her shop for a safe, affordable lift chair turned into so much more. Over time, I drove her to appointments, helped with bathing and dressing, ran errands, cooked meals, managed medications, and eventually provided around-the-clock support while she was on Hospice. Being by her side through every stage was a privilege—and it showed me what care is really about: preserving independence, dignity, and choice.

Cesar Hurtado, MD
Hi, I’m Dr. Cesar Hurtado. I’m pleased to bring over 15 years of medical expertise to Life Enhanced, along with a deep commitment to improve the lives of aging adults.
My training in emergency medicine took place in Barcelona, Spain. Over time I rose from a young doctor in training to a respected medical trainer myself at Juror Hospital, serving the community for over a decade. My career took me from the fast pace of the emergency room to the heart of family and geriatric medicine. That’s where I discovered my passion for senior care.
Most recently, I’ve practiced medicine in Wexford, Ireland, caring for residents in senior homes with the same skill and compassion that has defined my entire career. I am able to combine medical excellence with genuine human connection, because every patient deserves a medical expert they can trust and an advocate for high quality care.
Now as Co-Owner of Life Enhanced, I am excited to bring my medial insight and entrepreneurial vision to the U.S. senior care community. My goal is to help families access premium, joy-filled care while building a sustainable future for this vital work.

Nurse Supervisor
I’m Doug, Nurse Supervisor at Life Enhanced Care. With years of experience as a critical care nurse and EMT, I bring both skill and compassion to every family I serve. My belief is simple: your loved ones deserve the same exceptional care I’d want for my own family. At Life Enhanced Care, I create personalized care plans that ensure safety, dignity, and peace of mind for families.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me in the garden, tending to my chickens, teaching children in my community about nursing, or serving in my church. Each of these activities reminds me that care is about more than medicine—it’s about nurturing life, hope, and connection.

I’m Diego, Business Growth Lead at Life Enhanced Care. With extensive hospital experience and soon to graduate as a Physician Associate in December, I’ve witnessed firsthand how personalized, compassionate care transforms families’ lives. Married to an ICU nurse and proud father of two, I bring both medical knowledge and personal commitment to helping families find trusted in-home support. At Life Enhanced Care, my goal is to ensure every loved one is cared for with dignity, comfort, and peace of mind. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my family.
